Christine is a graduate student, a scientist in training, a natural philosopher, and an advocate for our environment, public health and wellbeing. She’s a reader, writer, hiker and yoga teacher, but it all began with a single step. Walking into a yoga studio was the best decision she’s ever made.
We often hear of “transformation” stories in yoga. Christine is one of those stories. She started practicing at one of the lowest points in her life, and slowly, through daily practice, she’s been able to accomplish so much more than she would have been able to otherwise, were it not for a consistent yoga practice. Yoga brings out the best self within us. Practicing yoga is like practicing health, and happiness; we can become happier and healthier. With practice, we slowly quiet our mind, strengthen our body and free our spirit. We may walk onto the mat one person, yet after practicing for an hour, we walk out of the studio anew, each time ready to begin again with a new-found smile, a new sense of self, and an appetite for good food and good friends.
Christine promises good music and a good flow in her class. Her background is a synthesis of ashtanga, power yoga, and hatha yoga. Our Monday evening class will be balanced, starting with a relaxing, meditative flow to quiet the mind, followed by a higher energy flow to find our rhythm, build our bodies and strengthen our practice. Please feel free to join us in class! We would love to have you practice with us. The light within me, honors the light within you - Namaste
