Kristina (RYT-200) took her first yoga class when she was about 10 years old, thanks to her mother, a devoted yoga student. With yoga introduced to her at such a young age, Kristina always took an interest in the discipline, but it wasn’t until recently that her yoga practice expanded beyond just a physical means to engage the body.
While a student at UVM studying English, sociology, and art history, Kristina discovered Burlington Yoga and connected immediately to the studio space and Hatha teaching style. Wanting to deepen her yoga practice and explore the teachings of yoga, Kristina decided to complete the 200-hour yoga teaching training program in May 2017 with Piper Abbott.
Today, Kristina’s yoga practice goes beyond the physical. She views yoga as a means to quiet the mind, connect to the body, and nourish the soul. Her teaching style is based on the teachings of her instructor, Candra Prabha (Piper), and inspired by the yoga guru, Prem Prakash.
Kristina welcomes all individuals and identities into her classes where she hopes people can cultivate an inner calmness and truth, while honing in on alignment and breath in the physical practice.
