This introductory class is designed for children ages 9-12 and 5-8. All levels and abilities welcome!
In this 45 minute class we will focus on strengthening the mind-body connection through exercises that promote coordination, flexibility, and self-compassion. Simple postures, balancing, and breath work will focus the mind as we explore the foundations of yoga through engaging activities. This class is taught in a fun and nurturing atmosphere with music, guided workshop stations, and light-hearted creative instruction.
Caroline is a certified Hatha yoga instructor (RYT-200) and children’s gymnastic coach. She has worked with children for over 10 years and is continuously inspired by the developmental benefits of intentional movement revealed in her students as they grow.
Carly is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), as well as a Certified Preschool Teacher. She got certified as a preschool teacher while in high school and worked at a daycare center for 4 years while in college. Over the last 3 years, she worked for a nutrition education program, where she taught nutrition and physical activity lessons to kids from preschool through 12th grade.
