Emma Landau (RYT-200, C. Ayu) has practiced yoga for over 12 years and received her formal certification in AyurYoga® in 2014 under Maria Garre in Albuquerque, NM. Emma is a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner with over 1500 hours of training under world-renowned educator and author, Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute, the leading school for Ayurvedic medicine in the US. She works with devotion in her heart for the many teachers of Ayurveda and Yoga from whom she has had the honor of learning.
Her practice and teaching are influenced by her experience in several yoga lineages, including ashtanga, kripalu, and Iyengar. Through her training in AyurYoga, she emphasizes the importance of a balanced practice, catered to the individual and their physical, mental and emotional needs. Employing asana, pranayama, and meditation in almost all her classes, she believes Yoga has the unique ability to shift our patterns, habits, physical form and mental tendencies to reveal the great power of awakening in our lives.
Emma believes suffering is based on the elemental imbalances our bodies accumulate throughout life. The shedding of these layers is not only possible, but it is dharmic - what we are born to do, and facilitated in a wondrous way through the tools and physical practices gifted to us through Yoga.
