Gemma first felt the pull toward yoga about 15 years ago but didn't begin practicing regularly until she found Burlington Yoga in 2012. The sense of balance and clarity brought about through the combination of the physical and spiritual practices were what kept her returning to her mat again and again.
What began as a weekly practice to balance the stresses of everyday life and the hours spent sitting behind a desk quickly evolved into something much greater and lead to yoga becoming an essential part of her life. In her classes Gemma strives to create a safe and welcoming space for all students at all levels.
Her Sunrise Flow class begins with a slow and gentle awakening of the body and the mind, gradually quickening in pace and incorporating longer holds as she brings attention to proper alignment, mindfulness, and the linking of movement with breath.
