Jesse@jessetayl0r
Jesse (she/her, RYT 200) is a cisgender, able-bodied yoga teacher who offers a versatile flow class, including pranayama, yogic wisdom, and freedom to explore the asanas in different variations. She encourages students to find whatever movement their body is craving on that given day, whether that be adding vinyasas to build heat, or taking a rest and breathing in a child's pose to cool down and come back home to self. She leads students through a mindful practice and aims to create a safe, comfortable, welcoming space for all beings to feel and move in whatever way feels best for their bodies. Jesse found yoga in 2015 and has been practicing regularly since. She completed her 200-hour teacher training at Sangha in 2018 after she felt compelled to deepen her own practice and learn more about the ancient power and wisdom of yoga. She didn’t have the intention to teach, but that changed after she completed her training and started practicing leading classes. She is full of gratitude to be able to share this powerful practice with others in the community as both a student and a teacher. Yoga has been such an imperative tool for healing on Jesse’s journey and has helped her to manage her depression and anxiety in a healthy way. She has learned to sit with the discomfort, both on and off the mat, and to accept herself wherever she may be on any given day and hopes to help others on their journeys of accepting themselves too. Her personal practice varies from a short flow, to seated meditation, to extended rest. One of her favorite parts of this practice is that the mat is always there, no matter the circumstance, to remind her of the power of breath, of movement, of coming back home to self; of deep listening, of intuition, of kindness, of self-love, of grace. This practice has cradled her and guided her back home many times and she aims to hold the space for this practice to do that for you too. When Jesse is not on the mat teaching or practicing yoga, she is providing playful childcare, creating or performing music, journaling, drinking coffee or tea, spending time in nature, or spending quality time with her partner Jack and playing with their pup Scout at their home in Colchester. She adores growing and picking flowers, getting lost in a good book, and taking solo time to recharge when her social meter is depleted. A true introverted extrovert, she finds joy and meaning in deep connection with others and with self. Music for my classes can be found here. <Full Instructor List |
