Nerissa Kreher, MD
Nerissa has been practicing yoga since 2013; she was drawn to yoga for the mind/body balance that it brought to her life. Being on her mat, focusing on breath and movement, allows her a solace from a stressful professional career. Yoga has truly become therapeutic for her and she decided to do teacher training in 2017 to be able to delve deeper into her own understanding of yoga and to be able to share yoga with others. Nerissa completed her 200 hour teacher training with Anthony Tomasi in Peabody, MA at PLAY yoga (now Centre Yoga) and has also trained with Matt Giordano of Chromatic Yoga.
Nerissa is a pediatric endocrinologist and works in the biotech industry in Massachusetts where she lives with her two teenagers. She has a blended family that brings her to Burlington, VT where her husband and 3 stepchildren live (and how she found Burlington Yoga). In her free time, she enjoys traveling and being active whether on the ski slopes or on the water.
Nerissa’s yoga classes focus on knowledge of anatomy and the movements that our bodies are capable of with mindful intent. The mindfulness that is gifted to the yogi through breath and the ability of the breath to guide movement is also a critical component of her classes.
