Peggy began practicing yoga in 2009 when she was diagnosed with a painful auto-immune disease. Through gentle poses and breath work, Peggy learned to explore the pain rather than reject it and found that the practice allowed her to transition away from a persistent state of fear and reactivity.
Peggy’s yoga practice has been an integral part of regaining physical strength and has allowed her to hold herself and others with more compassion.
Peggy decided she wanted to help others experience the benefits of a yoga practice and completed her 200 hour teacher training at Laughing River Yoga in 2016. In her classes, Peggy strives to provide an environment that is accessible for all students and encourages them to cultivate a deeper sense of awareness and reconnection with the body.
