THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL. REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.
Sunday, January 14 - 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Led by Piper / Candra Prabha
Join us for a two hour therapeutic workshop designed to release and open the hips, improve range of motion and alleviate low back and hip pain. In this session we will explore larger movements, heat building sequences and core engagement to open the hips and restore mobility.
Through gentle somatic movements and flowing sequences we will address the entire hip complex; including the lumbar spine, pelvic girdle and abdomen. Using breath, awareness of sensations and longer holds in restorative postures we will expand into areas of restriction to release blocked energy and holding patterns.
Learn how to engage the core, where all movement originates and where the body’s center of gravity is located. Through proper strength and recruitment of the core, the hip complex can establish new and balanced patterns of engagement, helping to maintain proper muscle balance throughout the entire human movement system.
We will close with a deeply restorative relaxation that will leave you feeling re-tuned and refreshed.
This workshop is suitable for all levels and experience.
