Hip Opening Workshop with Piper: October 28, 2018

Join us for a two hour therapeutic workshop designed to release and open the hips, balance the pelvis, improve range of motion and alleviate low back and hip pain.
We will explore gentle somatic movements and flowing sequences to address the entire hip complex; including the lumbar spine, pelvic girdle and abdomen. Using breath, awareness of sensations and longer holds in restorative postures we will expand into areas of restriction to release blocked energy and holding patterns.
Learn how to engage the core, where all movement originates and where the body’s center of gravity is located. Through proper strength and recruitment of the core, the hip complex can establish new and balanced patterns of engagement, helping to maintain proper muscle balance throughout the entire human movement system.
We will close with a deeply restorative relaxation that will leave you feeling re-tuned and refreshed.
This workshop is suitable for all levels and experience.
