Tori (RYT-200) discovered yoga during college as a way to reduce stress and balance an active lifestyle. Having grown up playing sports year-round, she was initially drawn to yoga by the physical challenge it offered and quickly came to appreciate the mental clarity and peace found on the mat. Practicing yoga has allowed Tori to realize mindfulness, intention, and creativity in movement, expanding her awareness of her own internal energy as well as the energies around her. The physically and mentally transformative benefits of yoga have not only brought a greater sense of well-being to her life, but have also elevated her experience as a snowboarder and runner; whether on the slopes or out for a run, Tori channels the strength, stability, breath-awareness, and mind-body connection cultivated through yoga. Tori first came to Burlington Yoga in 2012, where her practice has since evolved and been inspired by the teaching styles of Piper and other instructors at BY. Completing the Burlington Yoga Teacher Training has deepened her passion for yoga, and as a teacher she is excited to help practitioners find their own love of yoga through each asana and vinyasa. Aside from the yoga studio, Tori’s other favorite place to be is up in the mountains, where she enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and simply connecting with nature. <Full Instructor List |
