Astrid

Astrid (RYT-200) started practicing yoga regularly as a high school student to supplement her dancing.  She was attracted to the discipline of the physical aspect of yoga, and the healing and meditative qualities of the practice.

Astrid completed her 200 hour teacher training at Burlington Yoga in May of 2018 after being a student of Burlington Yoga for five years. Through this training she has developed a focus on proper alignment of asanas and an understanding of yogic breathing. At first inspired by the beauty and strength of some of the harder vinyasas as a way to increase the strength and mobility in her dancing, Astrid has also grown a fondness for the restorative quality of yoga and its breathing practices. She has found a new appreciation for the subtle conscious movements and their healing quality.

When Astrid is not practicing yoga, she is active in circus arts and fitness cross training. She is passionate about all types of body movement, static and dynamic, and loves to talk about anatomy.
