Kari Stevermer (RYT 200) started practicing yoga as a natural extension of her love for dance and movement. After graduating from the University of Minnesota-Morris she came to Vermont to teach dance at a summer camp. During the winter when she wasn’t dancing she began to look for a physical outlet which led her to Burlington Yoga.
Not only does yoga help Kari to move, strengthen, and stretch her body but it also provides balance and relaxation. She’s drawn to the physical challenge of asanas as well as the grounding connection of breath and movement. Kari is excited to bring yoga to dancers of all ages and anyone who wants to bring balance, mindfulness, and physical expression to their life.
Kari completed her 200 hour Teacher Training at Burlington Yoga in 2019.
