Burlington Yoga's 200-Hour teacher training is an in-depth study into Hatha Yoga, primarily in the realm of Vinyasa Flow with an emphasis on therapeutics, breathing, and alignment. This training is designed for aspiring teachers and serious students desiring to deepen their practice and understanding of all aspects of Yoga. Our program consists of 10 weekend sessions and weekly classes with all of our instructors in multiple styles. We will provide in-studio training, remote access, and free make-up sessions to meet the needs of all trainees.
Discover the art and science of Yoga and how to deepen your personal practice with analytical training in asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha, mantra, and meditation. Develop a deep understanding of functional alignment, using our felt sense of grounding to establish lines of awareness in the traditional postures. Learn how to correctly transition into and out of each posture from this sense of grounding, and with breath directed movements to cultivate an efficient, fluid and sustainable use of energy.
We will study benefits, modifications, variations and contraindications in order to tailor your own practice; as well as to safely guide a group class, specialty series, or individual session. Develop the skills to provide effective verbal cues, hands-on adjustments, demonstrations, as well as therapeutic and restorative sequences, to methodically guide your students to deeper levels of awareness and embodied experience.
